The Castle Route: Svendborg-Rudkøbing

Sleeping under the open sky, a small island and a large castle are some of the things you can experience between Svendborg and Rudkøbing.

The stage is 29 km and flat. The entire stretch if paved road. Although the stage is short, the trip across the Svendborg Sound is a must in itself.
Experiences on the route
While cycling over The Svendborgsund Bridge, you can enioy a view of The South Funen Archipelago and the many boats.
When arriving in Tåsinge you can take a detour through idyllic Troense and to the majestic Valdemars Castle - just follow the signs for The Baltic Sea cycle route. In Troense you'll also find Troense BnB - A cozy place to stay overnight!
Back on The Castle Route you can enjoy the coast and the small marinas in e.g. Vornæs and Skovballe.
Remember to refuel with food and beverages in Rudkøbing or Svendborg, as there are limited shopping opportunities along the route.
