Nyborg is the city of kings. And the lion is the king. It is playing with a ball – a symbol of the centre. In “The Heart of the Kingdom of Denmark”, at a Danehof (a session of Denmark’s medieval parliament) Denmark’s first constitution was signed. At the top is a section of the Great Belt Bridge. At the bottom, the earthly and cultural foundation of Nyborg Castle is carrying the city.
